Currently being made: ‘Letter to my Baby’
This is our latest film project for homeless teenage mothers and future teenage mothers.
This film is aimed to help young mothers dealing with a major change in their life. A change they’re about to experience or have already experienced; becoming a mother.
The AllAboutUs team joins the participating young women without judgement, we offer practical, pleasurable exercises that stimulate creativity through the use of language, still images, drawing and video. We create a safe context for individuals to share thoughts and exchange experiences with others in similar situations.
The final result is a video letter/a poem/a fairytale/an autobiographical note/a clip. Created individually by each mother for her little one, to be seen in the future.
This project will be finalised in July 2009 and has received funding from the AFK (Amsterdam Funding body for the Arts).
We worked together with Don Bosco to complete this project.
