Creating eyewitness accounts or special reports
Duration: 3 hours. You don’t really just go out into the streets and ask people stuff… But you DO when you’re making eyewitness accounts or special reports. How do you approach a person? How do you capture images? What is interesting and what isn’t? Within a short time span you’ll learn how to make a short special report. You’ll think up your own special report, handle the camera, the sound, the edit, all aspects will be dealt with. You can decide at the end if you want to upload it to Youtube or not.
For whom? Critical young people who want to turn their commentary towards media into their own products.
AllAboutUs offers: cameras, laptops and a media-coach.
Required: a peaceful space, a motivated atmosphere.
What do young people benefit from this? Every young person will discover that he or she is the expert in their personal surrounding and can deliver a substantial contribution to the present media landscape. This workshop strengthens the group dynamics especially in community and youth centres.
